Earth SorB™

Earth SorB™ Description:

A Lightweight, Porous, Non Swelling Clay Media with a Complex chemical formulation of Magnesium and Alumina Silica forming spear like structures. AKA Sepiolite and Palygorskite is excellent filtration and clarification properties for Petroleum based fluids and Gases.

THE MINERALS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH MAGNESITE (MAGNESIUM CARBONATE), THE PRIMITIVE SOURCE OF BOTH MINERALS BEING A SERPENTINE.

Sepiolite is a non-swelling, lightweight, porous clay. Unlike other clays, the individual particles of Sepiolite have a needle-like shape. The high surface area as expressed in M2/gm. and porosity, as well as the unusual particle shape of this clay accounts for outstanding colloidal properties and reinforcing characteristics. This valuable material is applied in a wide range of industrial applications. Chemically, Sepiolite is a hydrated magnesium silicate. Its structure can be described as chain-like, producing needlelike particles instead of plate-like particles of other common clays. There is little negative charge on the crystal lattice resulting in low cation exchange capacity.

The Alumina and Magnesium structures form octahedral oxygen and hydroxyl groups containing Al and Mg ions in a chainlike inverted structure. These inverted tetrahedral occur regularly and cause channels through the structure. Giving the clay a high surface area unlike many commonly used materials

Diatomaceous Earth

Description:

Diatomaceous EarthDiatomaceous earth is a remarkable, all-natural product made from tiny fossilized water plants. Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occurring siliceous sedimentary mineral compound from microscopic skeletal remains of unicellular algae-like plants called diatoms. These plants have been part of the earth's ecology since prehistoric times. It is believed that 30 million years ago the diatoms built up into deep, chalky deposits of diatomite. The diatoms are mined and ground up to render a powder that looks and feels like talcum powder to us. It is a mineral based pesticide. DE is approximately 3% magnesium, 33% silicon, 19% calcium, 5% sodium, 2% iron and many other trace minerals such as titanium, boron, manganese, copper and zirconium. Diatomaceous Earth is a natural (not calcined or flux calcined) compound. Diatomaceous Earth is a natural grade diatomite. However, the continual breathing of any dust should he absolutely avoided.

GeoBondApplications:

DiaBond® / GeoBond® absorbs over 120% of its weight in moisture, improves conditioning, pelleting and flow through performance in feed mills. Diabond® / GeoBond® does not bind vitamins or minerals.

Elements:

  • Bag:
  • Canister:
  • Bulk: 40 or 50 pound bags, 2000 pound super sacks, Rail-car.

Bleaching Clays

Description:

Bleaching Clays are a naturally active bleaching and clarifying adsorbent. Our raw material is an intergrowth of hormite and smectite minerals which have unique adsorption and filtration characteristics. Our proprietary processing methods further enhance these qualities. This naturally active product does not contain mineral acids or other chemical compounds. All products are classified as processing aids and have Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Applications:

Physical refining of palm oil, color removal from cottonseed, tallow, coconut, palm and other oils, Chlorophyll removal from oils with moderate chlorophyll levels, Compatible with food grade acids for enhanced chlorophyll removal

Elements:

Bleaching Clays are available in bulk or a variety of bag sizes. Shipments are made by truck, rail or shipping container. Packaged product is palletized and unitized.

RVM Clay

Description:

RVM (regular volatile material) – granules break apart more readily with moisture.
LVM (low volatile material) – granules are the most widely used because of their chemical compatibility, hardness, and high liquid holding capacity.
Montmorillonite – from Ripley, MS is a Montmorillonite mineral in the non-swelling bentonite class. Its low bulk density and high absorbtivity allows higher liquid holding capacity. Our mineral processing maximizes the granule's micropore space. Heat treatments impart a hard inert granule with a high resistance to attrition.

Attapulgite – from Ochlocknee, GA is a Attapulgite mineral in the non-swelling bentonite class. It is commonly called Fuller's earth. It's low bulk density and high absorbtivity allows higher liquid holding capacity. Our mineral processing maximizes the granule's micropore space. Heat treatments impart a hard inert granule with a high resistance to attrition.

Hydrous Aluminosilicate – from Taft, CA is a Hydrous Aluminosilcate mineral. Its low bulk density and high absorbtivity allows higher liquid holding capacity. Our mineral processing maximizes the granule's micropore space. Heat treatments impart a hard inert granule with a high resistance to attrition. The unique properties of this mineral make it harder in its natural state than other RVM products.

Chemical Pesticides, Biological & Biorational Pesticides, Drying Agent, Flowability Aid
